Spanning June 2021 to December 2023, The Autonomous Working Group Safety & Architecture proudly unveils its Full Report outlining a reference use case for an SAE L4 Highway Pilot. It establishes key system requirements in automated driving, explores candidate architectures, and offers essential criteria for automotive decision-makers.
Building a safe and failure-free autonomous driving (AD) system for complex driving tasks is a huge challenge. The system must not only tolerate faults but also maintain a safe operation.
Launched in June 2021 and led by TTTech Auto, The Autonomous Working Group Safety & Architecture embarked on a mission to establish a robust high-level architecture for autonomous driving. Recognizing safety as a non-negotiable aspect, collaborative efforts within the automotive industry, academia, and international research institutes have been invaluable over the past two years.
Weekly remote meetings and occasional in-person workshops have allowed Working Group members to collectively address functional and safety challenges in automated driving.
Today, we celebrate a significant milestone for The Autonomous initiative as we unveil the comprehensive insights from our Working Group Safety & Architecture.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication of each member involved in this journey.
Dive into the report to uncover these findings and strengthen your understanding of autonomous driving safety.
