The Autonomous

Recap from The Autonomous Event 2019

A Successful Start to The Autonomous!

The Autonomous Event 2019 successfully took place on September 5, 2019. On this day more than 500 top international executives and experts gathered at the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna, Austria to discuss the future of safe autonomous mobility.

It was truly amazing to hear so many high-quality keynotes and panels, as well as the insightful workshop outcomes dealing with the complexity in establishing a global safety reference for automated driving.

The outstanding feedback has assured us in establishing The Autonomous as an open platform for bringing all relevant players together to create a global safety reference for autonomous mobility. Thank you to everyone who participated!

In the sections below you can find some of the highlights from the grand event.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Why we need The Autonomous

As autonomous mobility is moving closer to becoming a reality, safety concerns prove to be the main hurdle in the way of reaching broad acceptance. In order to meet this challenge, the autonomous mobility industry must come together to show serious efforts in ensuring and prioritizing safety on all levels, as well as to set common technical and legal standards.

Overcoming this challenge and the investment costs cannot be mastered by a single OEM, tier 1, or tech company. We are therefore gathering leading influencers from the autonomous ecosystem to write the next chapter in Vienna on September 5, 2019

Vision

Create a safer, more livable, and sustainable future

Mission

Establish a global safety reference, created by the global community, which facilitates the adoption of autonomous mobility on a grand scale

Georg Kopetz CEO, TTTech Auto
Stefan Poledna CTO, TTTech Auto
Ricky Hudi Co-Founder, TTTech Auto & Chairman of The Autonomous

THE MAIN TOPIC

Global Safety Reference

Ensuring safety is the key to gaining acceptance of autonomous mobility on a broad scale. We will start this critical discussion by gathering together the complete autonomous mobility ecosystem and facilitate a mutual exchange of ideas by offering various workshops on key topics (Safety & Security, Safety & AI, Safety & Architecture, Safety & Regulation), panel discussions, and keynote speeches.

The outcome of The Autonomous Event will be summarized and serve as the basis for further collaboration, and to set the global safety reference foundation.
